Early Development
Every protocol we use is grounded in science and delivered with love. Your puppy's development begins long before they come home.
Watch It In Action
This video shows exactly what our early development protocols look like — gentle, intentional, and performed with care every single day from day 3 through week 2 of life.
You'll see the five ENS exercises and our daily scent introduction routine. These aren't tricks — they're investments in your puppy's neurological foundation.
Our Protocols
Early Neurological Stimulation
DAYS 3–16
ENS is a series of five gentle exercises performed once daily during the critical neurological development window. These exercises — including head elevation, head down, supine position, thermal stimulation, and tactile stimulation — activate the neurological system in ways that normal daily life cannot replicate.
Early Scent Introduction
DAYS 3–16
Early Scent Introduction exposes puppies to a new scent each day during the same critical window. The puppy's reaction is observed and recorded. This protocol activates the olfactory system and is believed to improve scent discrimination — particularly valuable for service, therapy, and family dogs.
Crate Trained
Weeks 5–8
Before your puppy ever comes home, they’ve already begun crate training. We introduce the crate gradually and positively — helping each puppy learn to rest calmly, settle quietly, and feel secure inside their crate. Here on the farm, puppies follow a structured routine that includes two daytime naps and sleeping through the night in their crate. This helps create smoother transitions, calmer behavior, and healthy routines before they ever arrive home.
Sound Exposure
Weeks 4–8
Our puppies are exposed to a wide range of sounds during their time with us — vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, children playing, music, outdoor sounds, and more. This desensitization means they arrive in your home already comfortable with the sounds of daily life.
Confidence Building
Weeks 4–8
We introduce our puppies to a variety of surfaces, textures, objects, and environments during their socialization window. Wobble boards, different floor types, tunnels, and novel objects — all designed to build a puppy who approaches the world with curiosity rather than fear.
10-Step Puppy Massage
Days 3 – Go-Home
Our 10-step puppy massage protocol is performed daily from the second week of life through go-home day. Each step targets a specific area in sequence: Chest → Head → Ears → Around the Eyes → Mouth & Chin → Neck → Back → Belly → Legs & Paws → Tail. This full-body routine builds body awareness, reduces anxiety, and creates a puppy that is deeply comfortable being touched, handled, and examined. Very few breeders invest this level of daily care.
